Prolonged droughts and heavy floods due to climate change have led to the need for the storage of volumes of water for production. Water for production is the development and utilization of water resources for productive use in crop irrigation, livestock, and aquaculture for the improvement of people’s livelihoods in rural communities. The development manifests itself in terms of irrigation schemes, earth dams, valley tanks, and bulk water transfer schemes to which KAGGA has vast experience in the provision of innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions for rural communities in developing Africa.
